  1. My wife and I each have a 2015 Forester Premium. We got it because we needed the best vehicle for snow and bad weather driving for the money in our budget. We love how it does in those conditions. Very sure-footed. Going up our steep, 400' driveway with 8" of snow was a breeze. No drama at all. It just goes. No oil usage issues either. Just powerful enough for our lifestyle (early 60's in age). No EyeSight or X-mode needed for us. Only minuses for me are the narrow drivers seat and footwell heating seems weak. That's it.

  2. I like the style of this car. This is the way a car should look.

It's too bad the steering wheel has the post at 6 o'clock. I hate that and can't buy this car.

Please start making steering wheels that you can grab the wheel palm down at 6 o''clock.

  3. quite possibly the worst seats of any vehicle on the market. a hyundai accent has better seats

  4. Love Consumer Reports and their perspective. They nailed the Subaru demographic and how owners don't care about aesthetics. The infotainment and Eyesight are unbelievable! Nice and practical car that is economical. Amazing how Subaru came out with industry earthquake innovation like Eyesight at an entry level cost.

  5. Listen folks I have a 2014 Forester XT with 25K on it. I drive it like I stole it with zero oil use issues. I don't know what lemons they are testing but this BS needs to stop.

  6. Consumer reports rated Forester best SUV. Not just compact SUVs, best in all classes of SUVs. This one got top ratings in reliability, safety and many other categories.

  7. Practicality rules with the Subaru Forester. Boxy on the outside and roomy on the inside, the Forester is also very fuel-efficent. Advanced safety equipment is a common option.

  8. Man, lots and lots of hate in the comments except when you look at sales numbers, Subaru is doing great.

  9. Your biggest gripe with the current Forester is the blah ride and noisy interior. Couldn't you have mentioned if that was addressed in this refresh??

  10. Oil consumption nothing new to Subaru boxer engine. My 1985 Subaru GL10 wagon exhibited same trait. When I 1st noticed oil consumption when new dealer told me that was how Subaru ensured long piston ring life. They've always been coming up with excuses with no real fix.

  11. It's a shame that I don't see a lot of Subarus in the street ( ͡° ʖ̯ ͡°)
    (At least where I'm living)

  12. The only thing good about subaru's suv is the decent amount of ground clearance for those snowy / small off road days. Otherwise the lack of a proper info system and other features and problems that are now being raised made it a 3rd tier company.

  13. Subaru needs to step their game up and redesign the outside. Talk about BORING!  Styling aside, it's probably still a great vehicle to drive, just not to look at.

  14. Looks good. Provided the center console divider does not impinge too much on the knee space, Forester might be my next car.

  15. When buying one of these, demand that the dealer give you lifetime supply of motor oil as long as you own the car.
