  1. This is going to be interesting. I still think the trophy should be you with a moustache smoking a pipe. I'll have to go nominate some books now.

  2. Obviously clicked on this video first because I was so looking forward to the outfit! And lo and behold, I got TWO outfits! =D

  3. Quick question: if a book is listed on goodreads as 159 pages, but the story itself is only 148 (the last pages are author notes) is that short work or novel?

  4. You're ridiculous and I like you a lot. 😀 I don't typically read a lot of new releases so I think I'll be a bit useless there, but if I can swing it I'd love to join some readalongs for the shortlisters! Nicely done, lady!

  5. This sounds a great idea. I don't think I've read any books at all that were released last year, will be interested to see what's nominated.

  6. Ohhh, what a great idea! Looking forward to all the readalongs! Re: publication date, what about books that were previously self-published but only traditionally published in 2014? Would those be eligible? cough The Martian cough

  7. I'm very much looking forward to you chugging wine nonstop during the November liveshow ceremony!

  8. I thought you were only gonna take a sip out of that glass but you downed the entire thing and I just lol'd
This sounds like a brilliant idea.

  9. Suddenly, all these announcement videos in my inbox! I watched yours first, and your acceptance speech proved it was the right choice. It always is. 🙂

Anyway, I'm not usually up to date with new releases (apart from comics), so I don't know how much use I'll be with nominations, but will def join on reading the short list. I am currently reading The Goblin Emperor, though, which is a new release and is very good so far.
