  1. My favorite scene from the book is how Neville kills Nagini. It was soo badass. They butchered it in the film.

  2. JK Rowling you should have told us how Harry Potter's kids are the last movie and it should be like Harry Potter's and Sorcerer's Stone who is the bad guy who killed the kids at the very end does Ron and Hermione Granger's kids actually live where do they die like Harry Potter mother and father the first movie by Lord Baltimore

  3. I FINISHED YESTERDAY THE HARRY POTTER TRILOGY AND TODAY I FINISHED THE MOVIES!!! UGHHHH SOOO GOOOODDDD!!! AFTER EVERY BOOK I FINISHED, I WENT STRAIGHT ON YOUTUBE TO WATCH YOUR HARRY POTTER BOOK REVIEWS! LOVE THEM BTW! I WENT TO EVERYONE I KNEW AT SCHOOL, ANNOUNCING THAT I COMPLETED THE SERIES AND I KEPT THE WHOLE DAY REFERRING EVERYTHING TO HARRY POTTER! I know, it's annoying but what are friends for :)

  4. Oh my god how did you not talk about the whole two way mirror and the Aberforth thing?! And then the way narcissa Malfoy lied for Harry and the HUGE PLOT TWIST OF SNAPE AND LILY and Harry walking into The Forest to face his fate because that just got me every time.

And the part where Ron storms out on them because I was so pissed at him for that.

And also the scene where Harry pulls off the cloak and everyone just mobilizes together to fight and Harry and Dumbledore's epic talk in King's Cross, and the EPILOGUE CHRISTINE HOW DID YOU NOT TALK ABOUT THE EPILOGUE.

Ugh I just love Harry Potter so much.

But great book talk, Christine! I love your reviews

  5. I love the Harry Hermione dance in the pt1. I always shipped them and that part of the movie made me cry. But unfortunately we don't have that scene in the books

  6. I literally just finished the book not even 30 minutes ago and my favorite part has to be when Harry and Voldemort were dueling for the elder wand near the end and when he finally kills Voldemort because it gave me a huge sense of relief and sadness all at once. It was what we were trying to do this whole series and it's finally done, but at the same time, it made me horribly sad because that meant the series was over. There's nothing else we have to do anymore. That's it. And it was beautiful in so many ways. I could not have been any happier with the end of a series than I am with this. I agree with you, this was, without a single doubt in my mind, my favorite book in my favorite series of all time, making it my favorite book of all time. It finished off the series so well and I am so satisfied yet so upset it's over. Can't wait for the 8th book though. It's going to be amazing.

  7. I love when in the film professor McGonagall gets like all the suits of armour and their marching and she says "I've always wanted to do that," and gives this funny little laugh it just makes me laugh every time or when Neville shouts "You and whos army?" and then this massive army marches forward and just his face. Fred and George are such amazing characters like they always lighten the mood and make me  smile so fred's death it hit home

  8. if deathly hallows part 1 & 2 was one 4-and-a-half hour film its likely it would be my favourite film of all-time

  9. I don't know if you've ever tried this or are even aware of it, but the U.K. and American versions of the H.P. books are subtly different!!!! They changed language from British to American English!!! What this means is that you get a subtle difference when you read the books in their ORIGINAL, (i.e. British English,) language.

I ordered all the books from http://www.amazon.co.uk, so I read them in the language they were originally written in as they came out. You wouldn't think it would make much of a difference, but surprisingly, it does. It's mostly slang terms that are changed; bogeys instead of buggers, for example, and a little other language; like in the U.K. they say "revising," not "studying." But it's not difficult to follow or understand, and if you enjoy British stuff, (I've heard you make a few Doctor Who references, so I imagine you might,) it might be fun to reread them with this difference. Kind of geeky, I know, but what's wrong with being a book geek?? Answer: NOTHING!!!!

I found that it made a difference to read them the way they were originally written. I thought it was really dumb for them to change the English in the first place. Insulting, actually. I mean, for example; changing the title of the first book to "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," like Americans are too dumb to understand; "Philosopher's Stone." And the Philosopher's Stone is a real thing, in any case; known of in mythology; so why change it at all?????

Anyway, I thought if you wanted an intriguing spin on reading the Harry Potter books; you might try reading the U.K. editions and comparing what seem like subtle changes. I think it gives another flavor to the books, but I'm also an Anglophile, so I suppose it's natural to want to read them with all the Briticisms intact.

Also, I believe that Steven Fry did the British audio versions of H.P. You might know about him from "Blackadder," if you've seen that, or he plays the head guy,(I forget the official title,) in Dale in the last two Hobbit movies. He's an incredible actor and I can only imagine what sort of a job he did reading Harry Potter. If I ever get audio versions of Harry Potter, those are the ones I would get.

I'm loving your channel. It's fun to see your take on Harry Potter, even after all this time, and everything else. I really enjoyed your take on "Titanic," as well. Keep up the good work!

  10. I honestly got so emotional when you started talking about Kreacher leading the house elves into the battle. I totally forgot that happened. Excuse me while I ignore the other book I was gonna read and read this book all over again.

  11. I just finished reading it for the first time, and oh my god so many feels, feels all over the place I can't function.. But I love your booktalks so so much <3 Also Molly slays!!!!!!! <3

  12. Even tho this is Deathly Hallows! I still wish they would the scene of Harry and Ginny's First Kiss in the Half Blood Prince Movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. Videos like this one are the ones that make me wish for a button that can give 1k likes. I teared, I got so emotional, I love your videos Christine you express so many emotions and that's my favourite thing about you ❤️

  14. When I read about R.A.B in the half blood prince amidetly it was Sirius brother and tonks is my favorite charater

  15. I totally agreed with your thoughts! Another part that I totally missed in the movie though was the whole part with Dean Thomas being in the woods with Tonks dad and the other people. Also, potterwatch I feel was so important in the books and I was sad not to see it in the movies!

  16. One thing that I've always loved about the seventh book that wasn't in the movie, is Potterwatch. I think it's such a great asset to the book, because it lets Harry know that there are people standing behind him. The three friends are in the woods and they're, like Christine said, starving and just trying to survive and Potterwatch makes them not give up. It gives them reason to keep going because they know that people back home are counting on them and hoping they will succeed. I don't know, I just think it means a lot to the story and it's a little bit sad that it isn't in the movie.

  17. IM SO HAPPY YOU TALKED ABOUT KREACHER OH MY GOSH. Everybody forgets about Kreacher and he is one of my favorite characters in this book and it makes me angry that the movies let him be left as a "villian".

  18. These booktalks couldn't have come in a better time! I just finished reading the Deathly Hallows for the first time ever, and I'm a mess. I've been watching your talks while reading the books throughout this month and it has been an experience like no other. Shame that I waited until I was 18yo to finally read all the books. Best books ever.

  19. I forgot that he mended his wand which makes the breaking of the elder wand in the movie even worse. But what mainly annoyed me abot that scene is that I think in the book Harry put the wand back into Dumbledores grave so that noone could ever have it again. I found this very beautiful because I feel like that is where the wand belongs.

  20. The most disappointing scene in the movie for me was the final showdown between Voldemort and Harry. It was supposed to be in front of everyone and Harry was taunting him and then takes him down with the simplest spell and cleverness. In the movie they have this duel that no one sees and then Harry walks back into the building and NO ONE EVEN CARES that the dark lord is dead! I hated that movie from the Neville confronting Voldemort scene to the end.

  21. I love the part in the book where Harry goes into the forbidden forest to die. He's just thinking about his life and it's before the resurrection stone bit, but reading that was the first time I ever cried in these books. I got sad at other times, yeah, but I never actually cried. I think it was at like 5:00 in the morning when I read it, I had stayed up late the night before reading, and woken up really early the next day, and I just remember the tears slowly coming, and that scene has been really special to me ever since. It's not even the resurrection stone with his parents, he's just remembering parts of his life, and his friends, and IT'S SO SAD! I also love the part after Harry and Ron destroy the locket, and just the scene there, where you know that Harry and Ron's friendship has just grown like 100000x stronger than it ever was before, and I love it so much, because it's one of the most emotional scenes they have together, and I love both Harry and Ron SO MUCH, and their friendship is amazing.
Also, yes. Ron totally should have been Bellatrix. He would have been so much better at it, because he rocks at impersonations. I've also always loved how in the books Harry tries to get Voldemort to feel remorse. In the movies he's all like "I'm going to go kill Voldemort because I hate him so much" and I hate that a lot because it's not who Harry is, and it's not what he does. Wow, that was long.

  22. Literally she starts with the very scene that made me put the book down in the first place. Like, to this day I've never read the last book because Hedwig dies. Like, I couldn't take it. Literally took me three years after the movie was made to watch Part 1 and then another year after that to watch Part 2. It just…I couldn't take it….

  23. Awesome video! My favorite thing about this book is how technically Harry never destroyed an Horcrux in this book (the only one being the diary in CoS). Love both scenes when both Hermione and Ron each destroy a Horcrux because the way they did it (Gryffindor sword and basilisk fang) relate to the way Harry destroyed the diary (killing the basilisk with the sword and then using the fang to destroy the diary). I just love all the details of those three complementing each other.
